Director of Professional Development and Education at USTA-U
Craig Jones earned a recent promotion from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to lead professional development and education for USTA-U, the USTA’s broad professional development initiative supporting existing providers and recruiting the next generation of tennis professionals. The department provides continuing education and coaching resources through its digital resource centers, while also organizing interactive workshops and conferences.
In his new role, Craig’s focus will be primarily on the implementation of professional development opportunities for tennis professionals, coaches, and teachers across the U.S. In his previous position with the organization, he oversaw several departments and initiatives, including Jr. Team Tennis, Play Days, and Local Competition. Prior to joining the USTA, Craig served as High Performance Coach, Director of Tennis, Club Manager, and Owner of the Petersburg Racquet Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Roger is the General Manager of Mazatzal Hotel & Casino in Payson, Arizona. Roger has been in the casino gaming industry for 23 years, holding positions including Gaming Commissioner for the Sandia Pueblo Tribal Gaming Commission; Executive Director of the Tribal Gaming Regulatory Commission for San Felipe Pueblo; Economic Development and Strategic Coordinator for the White Mountain Apache Tribe, and General Manager of Hon-Dah Resort Casino.
Roger served as Chairman of the New Mexico Association of Indian Gaming Commissioners. He participated in the White Mountain Regional Marketing Coalition, the White Mountain Business and Tourism Alliance, the White Mountain Regional Chambers of Commerce Coalition, and the White Mountain Apache Tribal Economic Development Committee. Roger is also a well-versed public speaker who has presented at the National Indian Gaming Association, the National Indian Gaming Commission, the Great Plains Indian Gaming Association, and the American Indian Graduate Center, along with various other associations and Native American organizations.
